You don’t have to plan a ton or deal with jet lag , you don’t have to queue through airport security, and you don’t have to travel far to go somewhere new and exciting. The best part is, there are some seriously cosy cabins in the UK that are ideal for rest and relaxation. So from log cabin holidays to incredible treehouse accommodation, these are the places on my “UK Holidays” wish list. I reckon they’ll soon be on yours too…

Rufus’s Roost is located in rural woodland north of York, this treehouse looks like the perfect place to get away from it all for a weekend with your loved one or to enjoy a good catch up with a group of friends.
With a selection of cabins to choose from, North Star Club is the ultimate glamping getaway. With beautiful wooden cabins set in peaceful woodland you’ll definitely enjoy a UK holiday here. Nestle in for the night in front of the log burning fire after cooking your dinner on the BBQ. Or roast marshmallows over the fire pit while enjoying a tea and some cake from the Wood Shed. When the sun rises, take a walk in the countryside or venture into nearby Beverly for the day.

Treehouse accommodation doesn’t come much better than this on a UK holiday. Enjoy a hot tub chill out with views over the Welsh countryside at this cute little bolthole. If the hot tub at the Squirrel’s Nest isn’t doing it for you then there’s a huge copper bath, vast windows so you can take in the views, a bed on a mezzanine level, an outdoor shower for those glorious summer days, and so much more. If I’m going on holiday to Wales, this place is where I’d very much like to stay.

Fancy a lakeside retreat? Then Ditchling Cabin might be just the UK holiday for you. With access to a private lake, you can spend your days fishing, swimming, or canoeing on the water and then retreat in the evening to your roll top bath with incredible views of the lake and countryside… Day trips can be made to Brighton but I think if I was staying here I’d just enjoy my log cabin holiday and cosy up for a full weekend in front of the fire…
Holidays in England aren’t meant to look like this are they? Another cosy cabin on the water and this one just oozes cosy simplicity. Bolt up in this Scandi inspired cabin for the weekend and expect only to see local animals such as deer while you enjoy your time here. There’s no hot tub at Buck’s Coppice but there is a log burner so you can bet this would be the best place to enjoy a board game night with good food and good company…
Westside Woodshed is a stylish little bolthole in the Pentland Hills, 25 minutes south of Edinburgh. Located on a working sheep farm, Westside Woodshed gives you a remote retreat where you can walk in the hills straight from your doorstep. Start the day in the fresh air and come back for an afternoon of good food, a glass of bubbly in the hot tub, followed by an evening in front of the log burner.

There’s even a sauna and a hot tub here too and you can take the day slow with views of the surrounding woodland. Just as stunning on the outside as it is on the inside, this place is real luxury for a weekend away.
